hoping someone who reloads for the above might be able to recommend a copper bullet they have found that groups well and knocks deer over well in a standard blaser r8 6.5x55 barrel.

Will be used on fallow and tor mainly.

If they would be so kind to also advise the powder they are using.

I appreciate lots will have 6.5x55 rifles and havegreat success with certain bullets in their rifles but this is a specific question for blaser.

Many thanks

In the same place and looking for a good load. For now I am using Sako Power Head 2 that have a 120grn Barns TTSX bullet.
They work well on Fallow, Roe and Muntjac and sure they will work for any UK deer species.

Yew tree do a good 112 grn using them in 6.5 creed very helpful and will give you good advice for loads

@Cris can I ask what the meat damage was like on Muntjac and Roe as I’m also looking for a 6.5 mono bullet that will handle all UK deer and it’s the damage to the smaller ones that I’m more concerned about with 120gr bullet.

120gr Nielsen Hunter

Petals can causes excessive meat damage on Munty but great on roe and fallow. Even better if head shot.

Used in R93 6.5x55 and R8 6.5x55

With the Barns TTSX in 120grn, they don’t do much damage in my experience using them over the last year.
I have some Nielson 120grn to load but only have N165 currently.

I have an R8 6.5×55 and I never had a bullet not grouping well. They all go sub moa. And what's more, they all fly to very similar POI, so I can use multiple bullets without changing scope turrets. And by all I really mean all of them, from 85 gr to 156 gr. This is why for me the 6.5×55 is a fantastic phenomenal allrounder. 85 gr for fox, 156 gr for really big stuff and it will also kill everything in between. And I never have to worry about checking POI of any given bullet.
I can recommend FOX 123 gr. Works universaly well on roe, red and wild boar and is very accurate.
