I have 200 rounds of surplus 7.62x54 Russian ammuntion. No obvious headstamps or other markings, unknown manufacturer.

Yep, shame you aren't passing Durham / I was passing Glasgow any time soon. Already have a few of these and could use a top up. Work well in my Nagant!
 
The 188 is the ammunition plant designation and the other number is the year it was made. I can't make out the year number in the pic but it's good old Russian made (188) steel core light ball
 
These old milsurp rounds go great through mine too, just wish I was closer. Just need boiling water to flush the barrel if you are paranoid about corrosive primers.
