I'd appreciate your recommendations. I'm looking for a suitable non-lead bullet for my Sako TRGs M995 in 7x64 brenneke. 140gr or heavier. I shoot a 25-06 for lighter .

Sako with Sako seems logical, so how about powerhead blades?
Can't comment on 7x64, but in .308 and 6.5CM they work fine.

Hmmm..... first took a quick look at a suppliers website and they stated the blades to be in stock in 7x64, but looking on the Sako website they do not seem to exist, which supprises me.
RWS hit is an alternative, but pretty expensive.

In my experience and what I heard from others, Sako blades seem to group well in most rifles, but nothing works great with all rifles/barrels. You have to try to be sure.
It is a useless discussion anyway, since Sako don't seem to produce blades in 7x64.....

Just to clarify folks. Im looking for bullet recommendations; not rounds. Ill be reloading .

Im aware that 7x64 brenneke is an unusual calibre and I could make life easy for myself by using a 243 or even limit myself to my 25-06. But I enjoy the calibre characteristics .

I use 140 grain Barnes ttsx in my 7mm 08 and they seem to work fine, not pushing them fast, around 2650 fps.

Another vote for Banes TTSX in 140 grain, your rifle should be able to shoot them at up to 3,000 FPS, TTSX expand well at speed. I shoot Barnes TTSX across a wide range of calibers and they produce great results.

Thankypu. Ill research the Barnes TTSX and whether Sako offer the Blades .

I don't think there is.much in it, as far as I know Sako used to use the TTSX for the blades before slightly altering the bullet for their own production.

Another vote for Barnes TTSX. Depending on what you are shooting I might be tempted to look at the 120gr as well as the 140gr. The 120gr at circa 3200fps would be a great round for UK deer. I use them in a 7mm-08 at 3,100 fps and they are great.
