A change in tactics

Well said. It's dodgy ground to pick holes with other people's kit. Two of the most effective semi-pro stalkers I know have used the same Parker Hale rifles for 20 years or so; theymight not be sexy or hi-tech, but they still put a lot of deer in the larder.

I do think DL has a point if Robert is going to shoot out to 600 +_mtrs that stutzen ain't the job they look good in my opinion but are only short distance rifle and any one saying different needs a reality check. It would have been better with a small scope on it 6 x 42 etc. I did expect to see all the deer this comb has shot but hey some people can talk the talk but cant walk the walk. .

time for a change

widows son i have the same scopes a very nice peice of glass nobody should judge you about what you want to shoot everybody has his own opion cheers tom

Mark, save me trying to explain it heres the instructions on what it all about .

It takes no time to set up to zero chronograph the first bullets at the muzzle get the BC set out the rest as per the destructions your done ,your zero range will determine what you set your turret ranges at.

I use my own ballistic tables which seem to work better than there tables .

Any stutzen is only a fine weather short (ie less than 75m) range rifle.

I will challange anyone who thinks different to check zero it today in the blazing sun at 150m then soak it with the hose pipe for an hour and check the zero again. ;)

The first thing the British Army did to accurize the 303 was to cut off the wood work. ;) :???:

Of course thats your opinion .

I of course have nothing to prove .

Ive shot this weapon for 4 years, in all weathers with out a problem, had i even thought I would wound or Mame a deer with it due to bad practice i would not have bought it in the first place, as for the 75 mtr thing I,m still laughing .

I have always use good quality optics that was what this post is about ,I couldn't care less what you think about the rifles ,Ive had all sorts of rifles some cheap and cheerful some of quality but they have always had quality optics if you can't see them you can't shoot them .

As for the distances they will shoot out to that is for me to play at on paper , I'm a deer stalker who in interested in deer stalking, thats getting in as close as possible with the stalk to either use a rifle or a camera to shoot the deer .

As for the British forces cutting anything off a Lee Enfield .303 didn't happen Your in - tell is way out .
