I’ve seen one or two scopes get properly gummed up when people have tried to do this sort of thing - though also seen it done well (I think using spray paint rather than cerakote).
I think I’d use a wrap (like sniper tape or vet wrap) before trying to paint it.
I'd only be happy if done after the scope was totally disassembled into component parts. Clearly there's no one in the UK capable of doing this to a S&B. Ditto other top brand scope manufacturers.
Many thanks for comments and feedback, I agree that it makes no sense to cerakote an expensive scope. So, decided to go down the Ranger Wrap route as previously used on another scope:
