Interesting vid, did you shoot the bigger buck to the left as well? and did you work out what had caused his injury?
Nice bonus fox at the end too! :D

Enjoyable video. Thanks for posting. Interested to know why you didn't take a head/neck shot. It looked fairly close range and he was not moving. Him standing could easily make for a more difficult shot. Not sure if etiquette comes into this of course.

Thanks guys, I dont really allow neck shots unless under 80m the zoom here played a part its actually about 120m.
The injury was caused by the other bigger buck we hadn't seen.
Yes we (I) did shoot it shortly afterwards after stalking into him and the doe alone which is why it wasnt filmed.

Ahhh I did wonder about that.

A few years ago I spotted a buck walking in some long grass. After a while he sat down and I was able to stalk up to about 40 yards from him using the grass and some small undulations in the field as cover. When I got close enough I was able to sit down and just wait for him to stand. Was a tremendous experience.

Great vid. Certainly required patience. But it payed off in the end. Well done to you and your client.

Thanks Jimmy camouflaged wildebeest indeed, i have already asked our lass does my arse look big in these camo's the answer was most uplifting,
And big H it was too far for a neck shot as John said shot was taken at around 120 yds, But i was extremely happy to take the shot that presented itself, slightly quartering, placement was good exiting the front shoulder the boy was going nowhere just missed hearing "good shot reload"

Jez, John tells me that while you were doing ya rambo crawl he was stood up walking behind ya so he could get a better camera angle !!!!!
