A Happy Lad !

This story starts with being ripped off in The Game Fair last year by a man who sold me a knife claiming to have some left over from making some for Purdey. I bought one, couldn’t get an edge and did some research. I’d been conned.

So, I had a look around the internet and did a bit of searching on here and quickly narrowed down the best knife makers. After deciding which one to go for, I contacted Stuart Mitchell via email on a Sunday. His reply was almost instant !!

A short discussion about what I would like, he quickly accepted my request and three months later I come home to a knife that is exactly what I wanted. His communication and updates were great to see over WhatsApp. He kept me updated with every stage of the build.

I won’t tell you how beautiful the knife is, I’ll let the pictures do that but I am even more chuffed than I thought I would be. This is my first ever custom knife, and I doubt it will be my last 👀.

Thank you Stuart for making me this knife !

Brilliant, You'll get years of use out of it and looking at your last pic it fits in the hand perfectly.

Nice work Stuart and congratulations Joshua

That’s lovely. I need a SM in my collection…when funds allow.

The purdey knife was brought to my attention by a pal who was looking at one, appears to be blingy tat from pakistan rebadged, pretty much like a JN knife.
