Hi, new to the group. Came across this group via a Google search on the 17hmr and found some very good reading from members. I'm located in South Wales just applied for a 17hmr and been approved and awaiting my FAC to be processed. It's primarily for rabbits, grey squirrel, covids and possibly the occasional fox passing through my smallholding keen on my chickens! I'm not new to rimfire as I owned a 22lr in the past. I currently hold 3 shotguns, 2 x 12g and a 410. My shooting experience and interest is in pest control, wildfowling and have also enjoyed clay pigeon shooting in the past. Living in the depths of the countryside and surrounded by sheep farmers that have granted permission to use the 17hmr on their police approved lands currently gives me approximately 500 acres to help them control pests in both lambing periods and crop harvesting. The 17hmr will give me a little more reach over the shotgun for this and I hope to gain a lot more knowledge of this calibre via the group.
