Wanted: A members lanolin type sizing lubricant needed.

I can remember a members post about his resizing lubricant he had made, there were excellent recommendations from other members of it.
If memory serves me he asked for a charity donation for it.
I've done a search, but cannot locate it.
Can anyone or the actual person point me in the direction of finding out about it.
My tin of Imperial wax after many years is coming to a end, thought that this possibly might be better?

It is basically a mix of liquid lanolin and 99% isopropyl alcohol. Ratio between 10:1 and 15:1 Alcohol:lanolin depending on your personal preference and testing.

Finding liquid lanolin is difficult now - everyone seems to be out of stock.

Lanolin is available on Amazon, & you don't need to be a chemist to make your lube.
It does'nt need to be a liquid version either, this can be warmed up till it runs , then add it to your alcohol.

The ingredients for our lubricant are as follows:

• Liquid lanolin (other varieties such as pastes or lotions may not work). We used the Home Health brand UPC: 318858509126 which is widely available.
• 99% Isopropyl alcohol. Very difficult to source locally, so you’ll have to order. You can find the 70 and 90 percent varieties locally, but we can’t say how well they will work. Others have reported success using ISO Heat which is widely available at auto parts stores. However, we cannot recommend as ISO Heat advertises unknown “special” ingredients in addition to their main ingredient isopropyl alcohol.
• 16oz spray bottle. We recommend you get a higher quality spray bottle capable of creating a fine mist. We went with the Chemical Guys brand available through Amazon.

We utilized a 10:1 ratio of alcohol to lanolin. Others report success with higher ratios. The ratio is not critical as the alcohol is just a carrier for the lanolin and ends up evaporating. If you don’t care for the DIY approach, consider purchasing the commercial equivalent: Dillon Spray Lube.

Having been inspired by a post on Sniper’s Hide, I thought I’d try my hand at making and selling an isopropyl alcohol / lanolin case lube mixture.

You’ll be getting a 500ml spray bottle with a 10:1 ratio of 99.9% isoproyl alcohol:lanolin. Just give a few squirts over cases inside a plastic bag, roll the cases around and you’re good to go for resizing. Much much quicker than lubing cases individually.

It will work, but needs a really good shake before use - and if stored in a cold environment may need warming up to get rid of the clumps.

Agreed, I keep mine in the reloading area , it is a comfortable temp for working in.

I use Lee sizing lube and iso. I mix at a ratio of “spuuuuuunk” “splash”
