A rabbiting setup

Was thinking about this the ultimate rabbiting setup mine would be as follows:
A 17 hornet built on a anschutz 22hornet action (.22 PPC on BAT Action)
24 inch krieger varmint barrell (Kreiger Double Cryo Fluted)
Sonic 45 mod (If you must!)
macmillan ultra light stock (Custom laminate thumbhole or Bell & Carson Lazeroni with bedding mods.)
Swarovski z6i 5-25x50 fitted with ballistic turrets (If that floates your boat ...................)

feel free to move this if its in the wrong section. It think the detail on the scope are right feel free to correct me if they are not.
finally just want to know if you were to build a setup what would it be in a calibre no larger than a hornet

An alterantive if you must have a rabbit soup setup:

Cheers

thats a "mincing and delimbing" setup surely!?!?

not at all. Head shot rabbits are no worse really than when I used to have an HMR, occasionally one does get decapitated though. Even body shots are not that bad, not saleable but as most of the meat is at the back end you don't waste much.

having these mega flat super rifles and shoting them out to what ever range is fine and i dare say needed in some parts but surly you would get more enjoyment out of lamping a few out on foot with your .22 or ferreting a couple out on a frosty morning, not knocking the long range vermin boys just trying to give you a little food for thought as after all even tho were doing this to provide a service its also for the enjoyment of being out there

I get more enjoyment out of my 17 Rem than any of my other rifles, in fact any other rifle I've owned, its just plain fun to shoot. That said, I still have my 22lr and a .177 air rifle which have there uses and I also enjoy shooting.

Variety is the spice of life and all that.
