Well being off from work today, I thought I’d have a look at a new bit of ground. I went for a walk on it last week, to see the lay of the land, also bumping into a few animals at the same time.
It was a nice morning either way a strong southerly blowing. It didn’t take too long before I spotted a small calf in a ditch out of the wind. After a while it gave me an opportunity of a shot. Well after shooting the calf a yearling hind ran back up the field out to about 180ish yards. She stood broadside, so I took the shot. She didn’t run too far with the Sako Super Hammerhead bullet.
Anyways, a nice way to spend the morning, while topping up the freezer for the summer.
