What calibres are you intending to use though?
If it’s just 308 boltface calibres, the regular AX will suit you fine. It still has a quick change barrel feature, unless it’s the older pre-2014 model.
If also larger magnum calibres, AXMC allows you to use magnum and super magnum calibres with a different bolt, but otherwise, an AX is no different to an AT, ATX, or ATX-C in terms of swapping out “regular” calibres.

Never see the point. If you are running 260 why are you going to unscrew it and put on a 7.62. You still have to bugger about with zero. Assuming for a minute that you are not desperate for 55gr 243 and 180gr 308 out the same chassis then the differences are limited.

Not nil, but not worth a grand a pop to run 65 Creed and a 7-08.

I don’t burn out barrels fast enough apparently

I have an AIAX bought in 10/22 in Desert Sand. 26” 6.5CR barrel round count 200, PRS fore end, bi pod and adapter, four magazines. Also a 20” 7.62x51 Barrel which I bought to get around the MoD 6.5 ban. I bought this from a friends widow that needed the funds quite quickly. Personally I have barely shot it, 70 rounds of 6.5 and probably 60 rounds of 7.62, time and useful opportunity have got in the way. Can supply further info if interested.
