This is a very useful little video on aging Roe bucks by their teeth. Useful for those who are not in the know.
Although, as he says in another of his videos, that just like people you can get a 30 year old who looks 60, and a 70 year old who could be 45, age in Roe can be uncertain. Only sure way is if they have been tagged at birth.
I have been watching a few of his videos. I have always seen Roe and identified sex by their rump. If the patch looks like an Ace of Spades with an anal tush sticking down its a Doe, where as an oblong shaped patch its a buck. Thats the case in Fife. However it looks like this is not the case elsewhere in Europe, indeed i noticed down in the Borders many Does don’t have the anal tush.
And in this he shows another good cull and explains the reasoning for taking a particular buck
