All hens are dead, visitor, through the night

ok, ill need to move my high seat a bit nearer to the wood, its an awkward spot to watch, very deep holes on a steep bank, badger holes some of them, in a thick larch and spruce wood, about 30 yards from a stream, which is always needed, if I shot any adults, I could move quite closer and maybe see the cubs, and use a .22 on them. They will be as big as cats now at this time of year.
You'll soon know, if there are feathers about, should see signs from a distance. Just lost one litter, moved in but farmer went to look at holes and told me next day. They'd gone. Cubs that size will be exploring now so be careful.

Maybe follow a trail of a few feathers from the hen run, but its a thick wood, cant see in there untill youre just yards from the sett, could see if they were playing out at about 35 yards. I once put a stealth camup down there and had some very good film of 6 cubs. Although I tried I never got them, think they had gone, that was about 6 years ago.
