Not a screw in sight, just good old chiselled out tenon and mortise joint, drop of wood glue and a slightly different/original way to display a trophy.
Recycled left over wooden work top from when the kitchen was redone and a length of pine stained to match. Rather pleased with the finished product.

Think goats look odd cut, something about the proportions plus the angle needed to keep the horns clear of the wall (if mounting normally….)

I think that they all look odd cut. Never been quite sure why people do it.
