The bloke on the paddle board that is when a 6 metre great white wants to snack?

Quote:"and one of the guys actually has a stand up paddle board and he will paddle out behind the kids who are surfing,” Jayme says."

I don`t get the continuance of diving in that place. There will be more eaten,no doubt.

We face a similiar issue here . With us , it's Black Bears , Grizzly and Cougars . There has been an increase in attacks and fatalities , but it has nothing to do with predator populations , there's just more people going into areas where these animals are . The general concensus is it's part of being out there . The only time we will kill a large carnivore is when it's a predatory attack , which is usually the case with cougars , but fairly infrequent with either bear species . I love being around large carnivores , that's how I know I'm in a truly wild place . If I get taken out by a cat or a bear , I'm OK with it , I've taken my share of animals in my lifetime , seems fair to me . I'm an open water diver and have had a few close encounters with sharks over the years , including a large Tiger a number of years ago . While it was an experience that reminded me of my mortality , it's a memory that will stay with me forever . In the end , I think it's a personal decision . Most , I think , will continue to do what they love and live with the risk . Sharks are part of the natural world , if you want to experience it , they're part of the experience .
As to the guy on the paddle board , I have no idea what he's going to do , unless it's a fainting goat scenario ..............

She held him on the surface and stated he wasn't alive
Yet divers searched and failed to locate his body
Am I missing something here

Reminds me of Rodney Fox

An Australian who was attacked by a great white whilst spear fishing off the south coast of Australia

It was in the 80s I think

Anyway - most people might react to such an event by never even taking a bath again, let alone go back in the ocean

He, on the other hand, set up a business taking tourist groups to spot great whites

Everyone reacts differently I guess

Rod Fox has the best ever scar from a great white ever! He must have tasted like schitt for the bite to have not been completed!

Hmm, I dived there 20 years back, leafy sea dragons. It was only on the way back to shore in the boat that the guide pointed out the presence of a swim-thru shark restaurant AKA a local seal colony.
He took it for granted that he'd see white pointers every 3 or so dives.

Wonder if he's still going.
