Hi All
I am looking to start annealing… can anyone recommend an annealer to buy? It would be helpful to hear others experiences, pro’s, con’s etc. I don’t know where to start!
Thanks in advance!

AMP MKii DB. Fantastic bit of kit. The database feature is brilliant, especially if you shoot numerous calibres.

Another +1 for the Ugly Annealer from Derraco (also a trade member on here @Derraco ). It’s extremely well made, simple to use, quick and importantly, is incredible value for money (blue light discount available too). It’s my second gas annealer and it’s the last I’ll be buying.

Make an Induction annealer.... Its actually a lot easier than I was expecting. Get the inspiration from the Interweb. Mine is a bolt induction heater, purchased as a kit with coils, with an inline on/off timer, that turns the heater on and off at the appropriate times. Then all its a case of doing is having a case holder that isnt plastic. I tend to do 10 at a time in 2 batches of 5 on the holder... With 30 seconds between firing. Works a dream for less than about £100

I’ve used the drill and blowtorch method for years. It works.
Now got an Ugly annealer. It works better. More consistent, easier to do large amounts of brass.
I’m not going back to the drill and blowtorch.
Buy from the UK Deracco site, the lad is on SD and is extremely helpful. He deserves our support.

On this note, I bought an extension gas pipe so I could mount the bottle remotely.
As usual, ALI express came up with a cheap item and I bought it. It has proven not to last (no surprise there) and seems to have self sealed or blocked allowing no gas to get through from bottle to torch - in fact I’m on my second Fine Flame torch as it contaminated the first one blocking it solid.

Can anyone recommend a good UK supplier for a 1m long gas pipe with connections suitable for a 400 gram propane bottle.
I would be grateful.
