Reloader annealer

Hi

I have a reloader annealer by Raptor calls off UKV, basically it’s stopped turning on the timer , been playing up for a while and now stopped completely, I know it’s from a different site but plenty of lads on here will have one , my question is does anyone know how to fix this please ?

Cheers Paul

I had a similar problem with mine, I’m presuming the motor for spinning the brass is still working? power it up and leave it on for a couple of hours with the setting at the least time setting, it should start working in around an hours time. Apparently a relatively common fault if not used a lot.

Hi ,

Thanks for the reply’s , I’ve had it on all night and the wheel the shell on is spinning it’s just not timing out and moving to the next shell , I’ll try it on the lowest setting and see if that helps

Cheers

Did this work out for you? I have the Bulgarian annealer and it has just developed the same fault: cases spin but the carousel doesn't advance. (I haven't tried the fix Beretta Shooter has suggested yet.)

Hi
My unit is in an electrical repair center and they think it’s the chip which is pre programmed to work the timer so not looking good as there struggling to source one !!

Cheers Paul

Wonder of wonders - leaving mine running for a couple of hours seems to have revived the timer. I'm sorry that it's just me, but still... 🥳

well I left my unit powered up all day / night with the timer set to zero as suggested and nothing !!, I can assure you that’s you’re unit starting to play up, I went through all that.

I don't disbelieve you. Mine is certainly starting to play up, but I got lucky this time.

For whatever it's worth, the first time I tried, I just plugged it in and let it sit there with it's lights on. It was only when I tried again, but with the button activated, that it began to advance properly. I'm sure you did this, but I mention it for anyone who comes to this thread and might make the same mistake.

I hope you find a way to get yours fixed, and will let us know what happened - you have travelled further down this road, and it would be good to know what awaits, and what to do about it when it arrives!

I’ll update the thread once I know if mine is repairable or not, Ive heard some units have never missed a beat over many years and others are playing up to the point there useless, I’m wondering if it’s a corrupt / bad batch of chips that were used as a fair few people are having the same issue and I can’t contact the guy who built them through UKV so let’s see if my repair shop can source a pre programmed chip or its going in the bin !!

Cheers Paul
