Another unidentified. 22" magazine

Can anybody identify this .22" magazine, found amongst some tools at my late friends house.

If that is a Marlin magazine, it's an old one. The current Model 25 based actions have a welded on metal t slot to fit that models magazine guide and retention spring.

Maybe it's for a semi-auto Marlin?

I had a Marlin 7000, from memory it was similar to this, although as this is all metal I suspect it might be european
 
So, I went and poked around, and I don't think it's a Marlin mag. All Marlin mags I've looked at either had the welded on T slot, or a tab/bump on the back, not a notch like the one the OP posted.

The notch affair looks more of a European design.
