Yes it does breath, but on a warm day it gets wet with sweat. At no point have I really felt hot in it, its kind of weird, almost like a full body stocking.
It wicks the sweat away and dries very quickly, so you quickly forget you are wearing it. I just put the shirt and 'tights' on, no boxers, etc, then Harkila trousers and fleece or Buffalo top. Not sure yet how much hard use it will take and for what it is, its expensive. But if it keeps the ticks and midgies out and only lasts a year, I will get another one for sure.
