Could be a rat, seen a few holes like that this morning in the nature reserve and not to far from it a rather big, dead rat

Update: I filled the hole in with some really thick Wiltshire clay I dug out of my exhaust on Thursday afternoon and stamped it down hard. Nothing Friday at all but this morning it’s dug out again! A few pictures below together with a “calling card“ left in front of my driveway at 04:45 this morning - CCTV reveals that it was a healthy dog fox coming from the direction of the pond. My money is on fox trying to dig something out from the ground...... I’ll fill it in again today and rig the trail camera if I can manage to secure it.

So why is that mower pulling the jeep into that pond?Just adding to the flavour of this post - I said I had a little recovery job to do just before I went stalking the day before the hole appeared overnight, I cannot help but post this - bless
