Arktis Rainshield v2 jacket

They called it the "Falklands island" when I ordered it from their stall at the shooting show when it was at Stoneleigh.
Took 2 weeks to make it in my "ahem larger size"🤣

I have a number of their garments from the time they were called Country Covers. The SAS waterproof smock is still going strong and must be over 15 years old. The Ripstop fabric really is tough.

Ive been using the Rainshields and Waterproof smocks for 20 years , Country covers/Arktis versions. The rainshields are good at keeping you dry but quite shiny and rustley. The smocks last forever and would be the ideal coat for me if they had a water proof baffle/Zip.

Yes I noticed the glare on a few of the colours kind of hoped it would tone down with a bit of use.
I just want something light weight and packable when out on the hill if the weather got nasty. For the money I thought it might be worth a try.

Which pattern to for for hill open hill? I like the comb arid, there’s a lighter colour too Atacs au but thought if in any cover you would stand out a bit.
saying this I have no idea about patterns and how they really work:oops:

Ive only ever had the rainshield in green , the sas smocks in 'arid' are a very effective pattern.Though they do look like they spent a while in Bobby Sands's cell. But itdoes break up your shape well.
