I bought one of these last month on the recommendation of a pal who is an RFD, as it had 3 inch chambers - for a forthcoming geese trip and as a warm-up have used it on pigeon and crow outings three times since with everything from 28-32 gms cartridges firing in excess of 150 on one of the outings. It has been an excellent pigeon gun - totally reliable and a pleasure to shoot.

Do you think this would cycle low charge cartridges? I’m still looking for a first proper shotgun for the lad.

Jim,

It’s quite reliable with 24g cartridges providing they are 2 3/4” cases. However, you have to be prepared for the occasional stove pipe.
