Bad news

Just when you think life is going ok it kicks you in the balls. My 3 year old lab bitch has just been diagnosed with an aggressive form of tumour (mast cell) after having an innocuous, wart looking growth removed from her front leg. I'm absolutely gutted, she's grown into the most wonderful family dog whilst being a great working dog for me. Lying on her bed in front of the log burner now as if nothing's wrong with the world, but the vet tells me, she might only make another year. Breaks my heart.

They all go to soon, but fore warned gives you better chance to prepare for the time you have to say good bye .
I’d quickly buy a pup so she can teach it how to behave in your pack

Really feel for you fella. Life can be cruel sometimes and why is it always the good ones eh?

Terrible news mate. I lost my pointer to the same cancer last year. In the end he had a lot of growths but it he was still happy and mobile until almost the end. I hunted with him for the last time on a Sunday morning and he was fine, but two days later he couldn’t stand. Enjoy the time you have left together.

sorry to hear this. Lost my Lab to cancer a couple of years ago at 7 yo.
Owning pets we are likely to outlive us never easy but all the more difficult if taken young.
