Badger-proof feeder springs

Try the spikes

we tried spikes but found that we got an unacceptable level of blockages from chaf. We get our wheat for next to nothing and beggars can't be choosers.

Changed to pans ( letterboxes ) problem solved , it also stopped squirrels chewing round the side of the springs.

I used every permutation last season as I have a significantly increasing Badger population. T bars are a bit of a fiddle to get the tension correct birds didn't like them, too much hard work, if easier option available, spikes were a waste of time, the wright and Mac feeders are working for me, must be fixed though, I use Tech screws, the deer do seem to get a feed at the Mac slots, but I don,t mind feeding a few Roe.

I have heard that a home made version of t bars with Stanley blades certainly work, however not too sure if this is a method that is appropriate, legal or wildlife friendly?

Bought some Roxan Spring feeders and they are brilliant if you are having problems with your feeders clogging up. Wont stop the badger problem though unfortunately. Don't seem get them damaging the springs here which is strange.
