I found this brilliant piece of footage on the Barnes Bullet website showing a .308 180 grain Barnes Triple-Shock X-Bullet fired into a 6″x6″x16″ gelatin block at 2907 fps, the expansion rate in the block & deformation of the bullet is truly amazing.

I have been using Sako's 165g loading of this round for the last year or so and am really impressed with how 'clean' they are. They hold together incredibly well on the strike and do for reds just as well as they do for muntjac. Pricey, but worth it just for that added confidence.

Anybody else had any experience with them?

Winchester have recently entered this niche of the market with their own variant, the E-Tip. See http://www.winchester.com/products/catalog/cfrlist.aspx?bn=5&type=71 .

No video, I'm afraid.
