Did you honestly think there would be ???No BASC response yet to "taking legal advice"?

Getting legal advice on this complex issue is not something that will happen over night, but our lawyers are working on it
For those that claim BASC has delivered 'nothing' take a look here: https://basc.org.uk/key150/
Second point on the list is this very issue .... on which you have delivered nothing !Getting legal advice on this complex issue is not something that will happen over night, but our lawyers are working on it

Sorry David, but you ain't doing much good for BASC with that statement. Just tell your "Powers that Be" if they don't get their fingers out they ain't gonna have a job much longer because we won't need a shooting organisation any more.
Let's face it, BASC needs some sort of Viagra.
According to information on the BASC they currently have 150.000 members @ £78 in subs for each one and they employ 110 staff. That sure is some CASH COW.
In the BASC Key 150 achievement's it states :
2. Been a key voice in support of shooting, in talks with the government and the police, with regard to several important areas, including medical involvement in licensing and modernising the firearms licensing process.
3. Campaigned tirelessly against regulation which is not evidence-based. Most recently, we are challenging proposals to ban ownership of .50 calibre and other rifles.
6. Helped persuade the largest firearms licensing departments in the UK to improve their service, including reducing delays in the licensing process, to members and non-members alike.
4. Advised many thousands of airgunners on the new licensing requirements in Scotland.
15. Run a survey of members in Scotland to provide an evidence base with which to fight unfair GPs fees for firearms licensing in Scotland.
40. Gathered empirical evidence to force underperforming police firearms departments to improve
I think some of the so called Key Achievement's need to be looked at again by BASC on behalf of the membership as some of the topics still seem to be very much alive and kicking, unlike the CASH COW that seems to be lurching through the crises with no leadership

I have to say the silence IS deafening as per above.
If no one organisation can do this, should we members not be demanding an amalgamation to protect all country sports/pest control /target shooting ?
The argument has been that no one organisation can represent everyone from anglers to game shooters to fox hunters. Well its time we tried again. I would pay £100 for this membership, very cheap by comparison with the potentially new (but in my view illegal) doctors fees.
So what has SACS done about it?This has been an on-going issue in Scotland for the last 18 months ... How long do you people need ?
