BASC responds to general election result

BASC has issued the following statement in response to the result of the general election yesterday, 4 July.

BASC has a very busy time ahead on the political front and we can each help by getting to know our local MP, whatever their party, but especially if they’re Labour. Invite your MP to see your shoot, clay ground, range or shooting business – many are new to politics and know little of shooting so let’s start them off with a positive and informative experience. By doing so you give your MP a constituency interest in shooting, can inform them of the good we do, and you could be a contact point for them to check in with if shooting related topics come up in parliament. - if you need support for your meeting email me at conor.ogorman@basc.org.uk

Did that in anticipation some time ago, but bearing in mind this full cost recovery manifesto commitment we seriously need a 21st century centralised online admin system instead of the expensive, inefficient and wasteful paper based, local police regime dating from 1920 with which we are lumbered with at the moment.
