Belter Buck Glasgow

Great start to the traditional Roe buck season here in Glasgow. Shot this belter buck this morning on a great bit of ground I have North side of Glasgow. Surprising find there as it's very close to a major shopping oulet, flats and a busy motorway.

Made my way slowly to him as he was laid up with 3 does and another quite nice younger buck. Got to 140 yards, he stood up staring in my direction. Buck fever kicked in, shaking like a shitting dog. Composed myself and let the .223 Sako 55g do its work. Shot was a bit high but can't complain, been a long time since the fever has almost got the better of me.

20.5kg larder weight as well. Cracking healthy buck.

I had this same buck fever the other morning, good buck was running parallel with me across the other side of the valley, unaware I was there I felt like I was chasing after him. Eventually he came to a stop (not sure what has spooked him initially) when I got the rifle in the sticks I was already out of breath and my heart racing, made the buck fever twice as bad
