Bergara BA13 for lefty’s

I have just bought a BA13 take down. I am mostly really impressed with this thing considering the price.
For the lefty’s out there ( I am one) the Bergara BA13 has a slight cant to the stock making it slightly easier for the right handed shooter. It’s def not a deal breaker for me but would be nice if it was just straight like most ambidextrous stocks.
But it’s shooting 0.2 moa (almost same holes) at 100m off a bag. And is so short its a joy to shoot free hand.
All in all a great cheap rifle if your walking a lot and want to take one or two beasts at a time. 👌

Good to see you have swapped the thumb bar on the back of the hammer over to the LH side 👍🏼

Slightly off topic, but what calibre and ammo are you getting 0.2MOA with?

It’s a creedmoor (wanted a Swedish) but got a really good deal so can’t complain.

Actually had a bit of a **** about running it in.
I started with the Nosler and it would group then not then group. So went and got some cheap lead and wanged a box of them though just to run it in. They grouped ok. Sub moa. But I noticed if I shout like 5 or more in quick succession they would start spreading.
Then I tryed the Nosler again and got good nice groups. Seems it’s the case it doesn’t like to get to hot. Going to try some fox though it at some point but want to stay on the light side of the 6.5 as it’s only a wee rifle.
Hope that help. 👍

The picatinny rail on mine worked itself loose after about 150 rounds so I had to use some loctite to keep it from happening again.

I've read online a few people have had the same issue as the screws aren't the best quality from Bergara so hard to get them tight enough without fear of stripping the threads.

Its common and happened to me, to be fair the picatinny rail is cheese.
After a little reading on the American forums i went the whole hog and bought an after market Rusan extended rail and bedded/bonded it straight onto the action with JB Weld, its been on the money since.
Regarding the cast, im a lefty and didn’t even notice until i had a straight edge on it today!

I was tempted to get either a new rail for it or get one of the DNZ game reaper direct mounts but that may be too low for the hammer with the scope I have.
