Thank you I think they are 1/4 28 thread just can't find the shallow countersunk head in anything else.

Bergara are Spanish, I’d be very surprised if they used imperial screws, I’d check again, odds on its metric

these might be in bigger qtys than you need but worth a look, most sizes available

There was me thinking the action was loosely based on a rem 700 action. Being American would mean imperial.
