No they're not loctited and not overly tight either, the recoil lug locating tabs are quite flimsy and can easily tear if the barrel is overtightened.

MTheaded but happy Well-Known Member May 3, 2026 #3 I saw the barrel removed from mine , the tenon fit was best described as sloppy . The action made for a very straight rifle . Is a jig used to hold the recoil lug when torqueing the barrel up ?

Yes unfortunately it’s is luck of the draw, I have had several with torn locating tabs so I ended up machining them off. Rgds
