Best .223 rifle

I have been happy with my Sako 85 xs.223 very accurate short action, flush fitting 6 round magazine.
Bought on this site as a package with low round count and great saving over a new one.

Had a superb Sako 75 varmint in 223rem (1/12 twist) some years ago and have regretted selling it ever since. Bought a CZ 527 varmint in same caliber few years ago with 1/9 twist which is the best twist rate in my opinion. Much better than 1/12. Very versatile and accurate.

For walking around the lightweight CZ 527 takes some beating.

T3's are accurate and very reliable, its just a shame they don't offer a XS action like Sako. The Sako 85 is very nice but more ££££.

Morning Jasperold7
T3 or T3X shoots MOA straight out of the box with most factory ammo; sub 1/2 MOA if reloading.
Just a thought! If using scope "glass optics" then any model of .223 is fine. However, if using a Thermal of Digital scope, these are substantially mounted higher on the rifle and to achieve a decent "cheek to stock and eye relief" an adjustable stock "cheek piece" is an advantage and is found on the T3 "super varmint" stainless steel model; on sale SGC @ £1255.
Ensure the T3 magazine is the latest "modified metal" one; the plastic magazines are trouble in .223 calibre, but are replaced free of charge with "Modified Metal" ones by GMK under warranty - 3 years..
Good luck with purchase.
