Spend the £1000 on a handheld thermal and a decent torch will do
Is there much choice around 1000?Spend the £1000 on a handheld thermal and a decent torch will do
A used quantum XQ 30 key would give you longer and readily changeable battery life (and hence operational run time), with a wider field of view coverage for less.Is there much choice around 1000?
Tempted by Pulsar xm30 but haven't looked too much.
So your saying they are a better unit than the xm30?A used quantum XQ 30 key would give you longer and readily changeable battery life (and hence operational run time), with a wider field of view coverage for less.
For your purpose, I think so, yes.So your saying they are a better unit than the xm30?
They seam about the same price bracket
Hi there I have just bought aive just got a sightmark wraith about £595 including mount and an ir laser torch for about £100
all sits on a .223 rem tikka t3x rifle
great set up and see foxes out past 300yds
spot with thermal and shoot with nv
your lucky to be asked to control vermin, jump at the chance and dont let the landowner down.
it can only lead to more shooting hopefully

Oh I get that took a shooter out who wasn't very experienced on lvecquarry . He shot the vixen but was way too slow on tge dog and it took months and months to grass him . Eventually got him at extreme range one morning in daylight .lol spot with thermal, shoot with NV, and dont miss! the thing is if you miss the fox doesnt know what scared it
sometimes they stop after a couple of yards to have another look. but if not, theres nothing to remind them of danger
(a big light flashing at them then a bang and something wizzing passed them)
i can see that trucraft but for foxing a thermal is a must id say, and nv saves flashing lights about
im temped to try a 940nm torch because they give out less red light than the standard 850nm ones
Cheers was it Alan rhoneTwin Dragons. buy the sightmark rear extender rail to attach the scope to your rail
i cant remember what rail i got with the rifle i think it was a guys name sorry
