Anyone suggest somewhere to get my Leica bins repaired, the left hand side wont focus sadly. Already contacted Leica and they are quoting approx £300.

tell them that after you've now shared the experience with the UK's largest stalker forum, you've been recommended other brands in the future, as the other top/leading brands will endeavour to keep their customers with free repairs, and thus, also their reputation!

Just sent my Swarovskis 7 x 42 away for exactly the same problem £144 inc p&p and 'free' replacement eyecups and objective covers as well as one of the housings!. The most expensive part was for ocular putty x 2 ( they found one of the lenses was scratched so I presume this was for grinding)then labour and vat. Cannot wait for their return as I use them everyday and feel deprived without them.

+1 for PKL's comment but if they still won't help I have heard that this company is good. They have been in business quite a while...

+1 for these chaps - was going to suggest them myself....have used them for about 10 years (through their Edinburgh branch, Charles Franks)

Glasgow bino repairs are excellent. They repaired a ww2 pair of u boat binos my father gave me, very cheap and great service.

Ps my dad was royal navy and was 'given' them by our European friends during the forties!
