Bisley Phoenix Meeting

Hi everyone could one of you gentlemen that went today tell me if there was any target bullet head for sale today thank you
Also before I forget, MME Bullets had a stand. His prices are excellent. Bought some 55gn 224.

And a very nice bloke to deal with. He is going to get more of my custom.

It would be pretty unusual if target bullets were not on sale at Bisley, it just depends on the calibre and make that you are looking for.

I don't know if he is attending this year, and the NRA don't seem to have put out a list of trade attendees either, but Norman Clark has in the past almost always attended the Phoenix meeting. He's usually got a reasonable choice of the more common bullets on his stand. Then of course you have the NRA armoury and Fultons both of whom are site resident. The NRA may have a limited stock but their prices are often quite reasonable and overlooked by many attending who search the trade stands looking for non existent long gone bargains of yester year. As for Fultons, lets just say they are Fultons and will never change.

Out of idle curiosity - were the allegedly “dodgy” .308 GGGs being sold by the NRA?

I did actually buy some of the dodgy a few weeks ago. It's fine. Apparently the only rifles to be damaged "appear to have been cleaned by owners who think road tar is a suitable solvent " quotation from nice man behind the counter.

🙄

It never ceases to amaze me what rubbish the muppets in the NRA come out with! - they certainly don’t do themselves or the association any good whatsoever.

The real issue with the ‘dodgy’ GGG is well known, it has been investigated properly & a cause confirmed.

It has nothing to do with cleaning, with road tar or otherwise!

Can not believe it, ended up going everyday, bought some cleaning patches to see me through £10.09,arrived home to realize I bought 6.5 and it was .223 that had all but been used up. Dilemma' should I take em back? cost of petrol/diesel for the round trip.Sunday morning clay shoot, Bisley patches, Oh' what the `^**¬ So around trip, arrived at the clay ground 5 past 10 and bumped into the guys on stand one! happy days!
And I was able to check zero with the PPU ammo I bought yesterday,on my permission, a little over 1" high @ 100yd and a 2 hole in hole group with 3 shots. No adjustment required?
