Blaser carbon shooting sticks

Quite happy with my twin sticks but a friend picked a set up at the BS show and I took a look at them at his home. Very nice indeed with a well designed swivel support. Maybe when I get a little older........ :old:

Bought a pair at shooting show £240 because I could. Light weight quiet to carry no clack once you have them adjusted although I did glue a piece of rubber on the bottom where they lock together. If you use Spartan bipod the front fork comes off and you replace it with cup for the Spartan to sit on, I say on because if it was IN then there would no way of rocking the rifle to keep sights vertical. I’m impressed with the amount of travel left and right and how precise it can be when lining up on a beast. I will perhaps report more after further use.

Thanks for that, sounds like a good buy.

A friend has bought a set and I've had a quick play. They seem very nicely made indeed and incredibly well thought out. Quick to deploy once set up, very stable and so easy to track.

They're lighter and less expensive than the carbon Viperflex, so I think Blaser are on to a winner here.

I hope they don't fall apart in a few months time I will stick too viper flex and Im a blaser man ..

Interested to know why you might think that? They looked pretty well made to me, but genuinely interested if you know otherwise.

Any ideas who’s stocking said item

never used 4 sticks before, but they do look pretty stable and workable

worth a look over.

I bought the 4 Stable Stick Mountain Sticks, which are very similar. They're very light, silent, quick to set up with a little practice and very, very stable. The one thing I think they wouldn't be great for is close range stalking of muntjac in the undergrowth, which involves a lot of tracking while you wait for them to stop between two twigs for more than half a second. For that I'll probably keep using the twin sticks with a swivelling cradle. Hopefully use these in anger in April on roe.

I had a look at set that a friend brought back from the shooting show. Generally I am a fan of blaser, except their customer service, However, I really wasnt impressed with these sticks at all. Price wise they are there or there abouts in comparison with other sticks / carbons stick out there, But they rattled a lot when carrying them, they are clumsy to unfold, and when ( not if ) you loose the front rest or spigot from the handle, you cannot buy any spare parts for it. Im sticking to my viper flex and I'm quite surprised that blaser have actually put their name on these

I've just ordered a set from Swillington Shooting Supplies. I'll report back once I've given them a good testing.

Wow, excellent service by Swillingtons. Sticks arrived this morning and although I've not taken a shot off them yet I've had a fairly 'robust' play with them. The sticks feel more stable than the Jakele Z4 (without the foot strap) thanks to the more robust front support, but are half the wight and collapsable. Slightly fatter in the hand when carrying closed, but noticeably slimmer than most quad sticks, particularly the Viperflex Elite (which are also very good to shoot from).

Tracking is a dream.

Blaser have pulled one out of the bag here. With all the features, weight and price I just can think of anything else you would want. Perhaps some rubber caps for the aluminium foot spikes for when you're on hard ground. (A rubber walking stick ferrule works). Although they're light, the materials and finish are high quality and the carry bag is very nice for traveling, but you wouldn't take it on the hill.

Very happy so far.

Could you do a test for me , at a 100 mtr distance, could you tell us the approximate distance left to right of movement please ??
