Blaser F3

Hello,

I have owned mine for about 6 years. I like it , it keeps me moving on those long crossers with 32” barrels and overall weight. It’s not a lightweight but a great clay gun. Patterns great and dusts clays with 1/2 1/2 chokes.
Well as long as I do my job.

My mate has one and it has been a bit unreliable with regular misfires.
Has been back to Blaser at least once but still not any better.
Nice looking and handling gun, very similar to my Browning UK Premium, just not as reliable.

Have the F3 Vantage, awesome clay busting machine oozes quality. Had an F3 sporter few years back which I traded in for a Beretta 694 but couldn't get on with it at all so went straight from the clay ground to an RFD after a particularly poor round at sporting clay's and bought a Vantage. Buy one you'll not regret it.

I use an F3 sporter (32”) for all my shooting from clays, pigeon to driven. Fits me perfectly and handles beautifully. I like the balance point (which can be tweaked using the weights) makes it feel lighter than it really is, and it’s been extremely reliable. like any shotgun it’s worth having it serviced of course, Blasers get done at Greenfields I think? But they will replace/update any worn parts for a nominal service fee.
the key to any shotgun is how it fits you personally, I’ve been lucky with the F3, my previous gun (F16) needed a tweak to the stock and the berettas before that I didn’t bother, but success (whether on clays or game) has increased with proper attention to gun fit.
Very happy with my F3, like Steff, if and when it wears out, I’ll get another.

I had one. Loved the feel, workmanship and quality. But as mentioned above, miss fires and one time fired on closing!!

Blaser couldn’t fix it. Supposedly there were several “marks” as the problem was cured as the new models progressed. So I suppose, if you can discern a later model, should be good. Really felt sorry when I got rid of that gun and more sorry that the maker, given the Teutonic reputation, couldn’t fix it…

Here in Germany I see a LOT of Blaser F3's and I'm a regular at the various clay ranges in my region. This is the first time I hear about misfire problems.

I have owned mine from new since 2004 it's the F3 Game model. Apart from a Blaser recall early on for a firing pin change it has never missed a beat. I had it serviced by Blaser Uk last year and was told that if the guns are serviced with parts from later models that they can become unreliable. Apparently all the internals from mine were replaced for the latest version and it has been fine since.
Regards
Steve

I have a f3 Supersport. It’s a wonderful gun but imho blasers finishing leaves a lot of be desired. They rust like hell if you have the audacity to take it in the field.

Do I love it yes, I do it’s a beast. Would I have another especially at todays prices probably not.
