I think the KPod is a neat Idea, though it might be preferable to offer it as a fore-end clamp with a swappable "universal" interface (Arca, Picatinny, Spartan, stud) that would then take any bipod the user wanted, than with the chunky proprietary legs, which are presumably a concession to the printed construction.

Seems good. There are also plenty of cheaper alternatives on Amazon. Bet depends on Your's needs. I'd choose it for stand or bench shooting not for hunting. Cause you don't have it steady on rifle you must use the weak hand to choose or change the position while the strong hold the rifle. And 3 leg levelling is obviously more tricky than two. each one with individual setting. but you'll also spend way way less for something with random use, and this is a good reason. If I don't have the bipod on hand I prefer shooting from rooksack

You'are right sir. Those hugly over-fat legs and the whole thing are all but neat. But it works with no flaws to me.I always carry it in the external pocket of my rucksack.... just in case. Mind any universal quick releas fitment (arca etc) needs hooling & threading the wood or plastic of your rifle for fitting the detaching part. I read that the k-pod now offer a saddle that can be adapted to different rifles and shapes with various inserts.. but had never seen it in person. As per the system the special nylon polymer moulds of k-pod (as per the developer) does hug the foreend in a very steady way (that's true in my experience) and will last for years without losing his springiness (have it since 3 years now, second hand bought, and it's still good as new) Probably there are better alternatives but as said You may just check some blaser forums for picking different experiences.

ps don't know if you can buy a single saddle without the legs and make a DIY Frankenstein unit. For shure is doable but I think the inventor is rather jealous of the project and is not keen on selling spares. This whay I bought a full 3 saddle system once it appeared on a bid site. something uncommon
