He does make his K95 perform very well considering how light it is.Have a look at THLR on you tube. Spigot and neopod I think....
I have fitted a spartan bipod to my Merkel Kipplauf only yesterdayHe does make his K95 perform very well considering how light it is.
Personally I would go for a Spartan Javelin bipod and fit the gunsmith adapter on such a lightweight and stylish mountain rifle such as the K95.
It would be sacrilege to fit something as unweildy and ugly as a Harris to such a rifle.
It doesn't seem to be an issue for THLR on YouTube.Remember that the forearm is attached to the barrel. Putting a punctual load on it in front of the snapper may result in poor accuracy and and/or a shift of the POI.
Let‘s hear your results if you go for it.
Don't let someone actually doing the thing under discussion effect your opinion...... That's not the SD way!It doesn't seem to be an issue for THLR on YouTube.
Smart and light, may be a lacet nor a rubber to pass on top of the barrell without tighitening it as mach as stop floating, would help in case you have to change shooting position rapidly?I made the one pictured in this thread and ended up gifting it to someone to use on a K95. Cut down shooting sticks from sportsman gun centre and rubber feet from ebay. And some leather to make padding

It's good to hear from someone who has one in real life. A visit to the web site leaves the impression of vapourware: computer generated images and no pricing. This is what I use on my kipplaufs & R8 & bokt rifles: one fits all. Admit it is ugly but it sits in my backpack untill seconds before the needs. Weights few grams and no need of making holes or mismatch the forearms. I have the old version with three saddles and swapp those on the two legged base depending on rifle I choose: merkel kipp, Blaser R8 or Cz bolt action.I think now there is out a version with full adjustable single cradle. Find it unvaluable for mountain hunts and also while zeroing rifle at the range but would never choose it if bencheresting.

I'll share you pics as soon as i'll be back home next week. Meanwhile I can give you a few infos a know. I bought mine second hand from one old gentleman ho happens to have just the same rifle on those of mine I was planning to use it on: kipplauf, blaser r8 and CZ . I paid for all (1 pair of legs and 3 swappable clamps) 240 euros and the original package came with the warranty of producer ho is (as far as I know) a hunter inginier ho print them with 3d using a special nylon composition wich retain springiness and stiffness. in fact to fix it on the rifle's forends you mast slip it untill it stay steady with good pressure. clamps are shaped as different forends meaning that can slide in place only from the correct side being front and rear different in radius. once in place are very steady because of the springy grip. legs tall is adjustable by twisting them. in or out. mine are the medium lengt. Believe the producer has now come out with a model that can be mount on different rifles by changing some inserts..The project, sub patent, is in development and I agree site is ugly but the bipod concept is goodIt's good to hear from someone who has one in real life. There's almost nothing on YT either, and that's years old and only shows 3D printed prototypes.
In view of this, it would be great if you could share a couple of images of your Kpod in use, and some information on model and price?
Thanks
Don't think so. Spartan's bipods needing a socket to be fixed to the forend to seat in it the the magnetic pivot. nothing wrong with this but not for the flimsy wooden kipplaufs. At least on my haenel and merkel a hole that wide in the wood would make for a very weak part. Can't speak about k95 cuz I never had one. The k-pod does not require any mod and would not stress the forend more than shooting from a quad stick, wich is very doable. Just my opinionDont Spartan make a small tripod for this exact purpose? Use and put back in your picket. Nothing to drill on your lovely rifle then.
