Hi all, is anyone on here using the R8 .222 20inch barrel? What bullet/cartridge combination are you using for Roe and Fox , also how tight a group are you achieving, thanks in advance

Hand loaded .222 with 50gr BT’s for my R93. Very consistently 0.5” or better.

Killed a load of foxes with it. No Roe here.

I thought you needed a minimum of 6mm for roe here in England?

50 grain TTSX with tips pulled and in front of RS36 through a 20 inch Tikka .222; is small deer legal for me.

Also been used on Roe in Dumfriesshire.

Not legal for Roe in England and Wales though.

Worth trying 19 grains of Vhit N120 if you can blag a little bit to try.

Mine likes 19.8 (from memory) of N133 too.

Mine likes 19.8 (from memory) of N133 too.

My rifle’s not a Tikka but I use 19 x 120 for 50, 52 and 55 grain bullets with good accuracy from all.
