Are you:-
OCD - shot a lot of rifles, have strong opinions, bad at compromise, know your mind and based on experience know exactly what you want and are not willing to have anything other than your specification. If so go custom and take great care who you get it built by
Like quality, happy to have something that is very good, reliable, very safe (until it isn't at which point it's very unsafe but only exceedingly rarely) has a heap of options but might contain some aspects that are less than perfection which you cannot change (complex mounts, not very low mounts, not stainless barrel, action that for many comes back far enough for LOP that head is removed from comb etc) then get an R93/R8 and enjoy it
If you want the most beautiful toy get a K95. If ever you have the buck of your dreams offering you a 200yard shot just as it pauses at the entrance to a wood you will never use it again. Don't ask how I know this. I made the shot but it was so difficult. Even when I took it to the Alps for Chamois and Mouflon it was so light that even with a good rest over a pack the cross hairs jumped at every heartbeat. I still have it, still love it but to me it's a toy
