Blaser r93 adjustable stock options

Currently using a r93 with std factory professional stock, finding the lop a little short so could do with a longer stock and possibly adjustable cheekpiece, as a tall chap.

What are the alternative options?

The form stocks look good, but not inlet for blazer r93.

the akila, Slovenian, produce one, but a little bit too tactical/heavy for my hunting needs.

Raven do a carbon one, but not length adjustable, and quite expensive!

GRS seem to do one, or did?, Is this the only option beyond a custom build?

Many thanks.

When I bought mine back in '06 it was ordered with a spacer to suit my arm length so I would think such spacers are still available, probably same fit as the R8. Have a word with nearest Blaser dealer to you.

As for adjustable cheekpiece I think you will have to go with an 'add on' pad or, again, speak to someone capable in your neck of the woods, similar to Michael Rainback down in Dorset, to fit a proper one to your current stock.

Thanks. I did previously ask the local blaser dealer but they said it’s not possible to get spacers.

Carbonomix have some good looking stocks, both straight carbon or carbon/kevlar weave. They will mould the stock to required LOP also.

Don't know anyone that uses one, nor indeed how much they would sting you for one, but they certainly look tasty.

Carbon fibre would likely negate the possibility of installing a cheek riser though?

I have a Rainback cheek piece installed on my Pro Success which is fantastic. I had a similar issue with LOP so stuck in the maximum amount of R8 spacers to bring it to the right length. They are literally just shaped plastic type stuff so I should imagine that they could be manufactured quite cheaply? Maybe even 3D printed?

There’s a Russian company that makes carbon stocks too IIRC. I enquired about LH orientation but they just wouldn’t make one for me.

The standard plastic stocks have a rubber butt cap so I’d be surprised to see a spacer available for those.

Seen plenty of Rainback cheek risers and they always look immaculately modified

Carbononix stocks looked really nice. Last year their pro stock (ambidextrous) was around €1400, or €1700 in a carbon/Kevlar hybrid. I’d imagine that’s nearer €1700 and €2000 in the current climate.

Looked beautiful, plus I’d rather buy Slovenian than Russian at the moment!

If you can work out the Lop and all the dimensions then Get shaftwerk to make you a stock. Plenty on here have done. Mine is on my R93. Fits me beautifully. Bit difficult for anyone else though as I have long arms.

I have an original factory extension for an off road stock, yours for £60, it adds about an inch

Staffordshire synthetic stocks will make you any style of stock for an R93… I have an R93 and needed a similar stock extension. I just added a black (from memory Jack Pyke) butt extender over the existing stock. Sorted for sub £20 and it’s lasted 4 years without issue… it’s unobtrusive and effective, although no where near as exciting or slick as a new stock!
