Long action, right handed stainless steel Remington 700, fully blueprinted, this includes tennon threads, bolt lug abutments, action face, bolt lugs, bolt face, bolt nose bushed and sako extractor fitted. Bolt has straight bolt handle welded on (no brazing to snap off) with stylish oversize bolt knob, not tacticool. This action really is lovely and locks up real tight. I didn’t do the blueprinting myself, I did however commission the bolt nose bushing which was completed to an exceptional standard (previously oversize for a 0.473 bolt face calibre, it came to me as a 6.5x55 so I had it bushed and refurbished). JR firearms did the bushing work on the bolt for me.
Stock is a lightweight HS precision thumbhole, fully bedded to the aforementioned action and recoil lug to a very high standard. A section in front of the recoil lug has also been bedded. I may remove this once the barrel is fitted, or supplement it as necessary, the new barrel will not be exactly the same size as the one I took off it. Stock is painted green and shows some light wear marks, no damage.
Trigger is standard factory model with top safety and bolt release. It will be tuned and adjusted. I can supply an upgrade at an additional cost from the triggertech or Bix n Andy ranges.
Floorplate is standard factory, and cycles well.
Barrel to be fitted is a phoenix cut rifle barrel, R2 light varmint profile, it is 27” and can be finished up to 26”, maybe slightly less depending on how much is needed to be cur off at the chamber end to get it to sit correctly in the stock. Twist rate is 1:9” to suit all bullet weight and especially copper projectiles. Chambering will be done with a Manson reamer and I will keep all tolerances to a minimum. I think 22” or 24” would be ideal for this rifle.
This is priced to sell and I will offer the complete built rifle for £1500, proofed and including barrel finished to your chosen length and muzzle thread of your choice, with thread protector. This is extremely good value considering the cost of the barrel alone fitted is £1050. There is a lot of work already paid for in the blueprinting, bolt upgrades and bedding. to have a factory Remmy rebuilt to this standard would cost way in excess of that, probably double. Those prices include VAT and a VAT receipt will be provided.
if you would prefer a different long action calibre a barrel and reamer could be sourced.

Bump, could be built and proofed over the summer and delivered in time for the stags
