It is quite easy to send a private message, just place the cursor over halden on the left a menu will drop down and on the bottom row of boxes will be private message click on that and then write your message to halden.

These are brilliant KRW
Too heavy to walk and stalk really - but great for ambush / sitting waiting

I have private messaged him but had no reply

The carbon fibre are not too heavy to stalk/carry extended distances with - but weight is a matter of opinion as has been said. If you go too light then you go flimsy and it's pointless. My tripod set up is around 5kg and I don't think about weight. If there is a compromise with weight, the offset it is that you can set these things up literally anywhere and get a stable platform. No other solution provides such a wide range of support. I've hears stories of 'quad sticks are quicker to deploy' - but that depends on how good your SOP is. My experience is that I have had far more opportunities to shoot and made more shots using this sort of platform than any other would have given - and that's what it's about for me.

Thankyou for you comments

Yes but when another post says above it confused me (an age thing).
To be honest i have both - i would challenge anyone to close their eyes and guess which is the carbon and which is the normal - In my opinion - and im 6ft 16 stone and i would say pretty fit - they are a challenge to carry and stalk with all the other stuff

With respect, this is a 'For Sale' post for the OP - not a personal feelings post on the where's and whyfor's of using tripods.
