Bog deathgrip tripod

happy new year to all.

Recently purchased a bog deathgrip tripod what I am very happy with quality robust tripod. However I purchased the real tree version as this was the colour I prefer at a cost of £300 (none ball head) I was under the impression I could do a simple upgrade to install the ball head kit.problem I am having is finding were I can purchase ball head upgrade kit in the uk as the only ones I have seen on line are all in the us.anyone got a link to a supplier in uk for upgrade kit.

Does the tripod top not have a standard tripod threaded bolt to accept a ball head?

Cancel that, just seen a video on this, looks a nightmare!

Do you mean that you bought older Deathgrip combo that has elevation/pan adjustable thingy between tripod and clamp? And you want to upgrade to ball head in Deathgrip Infinite combo? It looks like also tripod is different in Infinite (not that I predict any compatiblity problems).

If ball head is what you want, just go with suitable 3rd party product like suggested. Some prefer separate elevation and pan adjustments, but maybe in different product than original BOG. I'd say shoot it first, and if you find it inadequate you can purchase something else.

Struggling to find anything UK side, a few of our USA counterparts have done 3d printed things...I just don't trust my rifle on a printed part myself. So may be worth jumping on a forum to see if one of the guys would ship to you. Some kits I'm seeing are $199! So once you've added shipping that would be a tidy price!

I'd be more inclined, if possible, to sell and recoup some funds toward a more 'standard' tripod. I appreciate funds may be a big factor but by the time you pay the extra you may have paid out similar that would've got you something more flexible...Trust me, been there, done that!! lol

Have a look on flea bay, I bought a used Really Right Stuff BH 40 off there a while ago came with a RRS lever clamp. Buying a good quality second hand one like RRS is better than buying a new cheap one.

Yes thanks for the advice. I am just going to send tripod back to shop as I have only just purchased and not used it yet. I will pay the extra £100 and get the Infinite model what comes standard with ball mount and carry case.
