Bolt Buddy

Hi everyone, I have designed this bolt protector for the Tikka T1x, T3/T3x and Howa short and long action. I'm also working on the rem 700 and will keep releasing new model as we go.

By law in New Zealand we have to remove our bolts during storage and transport. I have seen quite a few bolts getting damaged over the years which gave me the idea to developpe the Bolt Buddy.

It is also quite useful at the range when we go downrange to get our target.

Please check it out:

Bolt Buddy

cheers

Tibo

Great idea! Would be useful for the Blaser R8 and BRX1 bolts too if you could adapt the design 👍🏼 I could help you with dimensions on the BRX1

I cannot see how that is any better than a bolt being separated from the rifle in a std pouch . Many firearm manufacturers have use systems like the Sako 75 had for a while ( when the bolt is locked into the action and a key can be removed ) . TBF though its easier to take the bolt away separate in a std bolt sheath on your belt

You make knives! Are they any better than a mora? Both cut i assume?
really poor form from you i think

No drama at all. Constructive feedback is good. I do like nicely carved leather pouch.

The bolt Buddy is superior to a basic pouch fabric in terms of protection and offer extra features.

Decocks the bolts, strong safe guard at the handle, padlock attachment point. It has a belt clip so it can be removed fast from the belt.

I like them👍🏽
Robust, don’t absorb moisture and good price point.
Quite a few of us have custom bolt knobs on our tikka’s. Wondered if there is room to accommodate that in the standard models
