Yes. It comes free with every rifle. It's called "the receiver".

I really strain to understand all this nonsense about bolt carriers. Either the rifle should be in use or securely locked and secured. Not left in a unsecured in a car with the bolt on the owner's person!

And this rubbish about wandering through woodlands or on the hill with the bolt in a "bolt holster" is the invention of yet another breed of idiot!

That said when I do the sock isn't quite cutting it any more!

I'd imagine carrying it there it also makes it difficult to get your boot on; a bolt holster is definately the way forward!

straining to come to grips with this one?.......... I use a bolt carrier X 4 on the belt, when rifles are not in use but left in a "secured" vehicle, this is a precaution in case of theft of the rifles or vehicle, as you would probably figure out, the rifles are just tomato stakes without the bolts, not sure who would wander about with an empty receiver whilst stalking or enjoying any other shooting activity?........... gotta look odd carrying four rifles into a service station crapper,.......... why not just separate the parts?

I would too...but in the latter years of my holding a RFD I was surprised the times I was asked if I had a spare bolt for an XXX as it had been "lost in the woods" with full knowledge of the issuing police licensing authority too!

I know of at least one stalker, a very good one, who "lost" a bolt, then after much mileage while searching for it, happened to notice it on the canvas tilt of a beast recovery machine.

In answer to the original question RWS make a good and compact bolt holder/carrier. It has the slots for your waist belt cut into the rear face of the leather pouch so it sits level with your belt (which I prefer) rather than dangling down. One word of caution - bolts should be lightly greased on the lugs prior to use, this easily attracts grit/grunge which can be picked up from inside a dirty holder. I usuallly put my bolts in a small plastic bag - small food bags are ideal, then into the bolt holder.
