Bone grinding machine

I am looking at feeding my dogs more raw meat and bone, has anyone any information on a machine that is capable of grinding deer bones ?

I used to make raw dog food on an industrial scale and we would mince lamb ribs it took a 4" mincer to do it and to be honest even that struggled as already said maybe just chuck them to your dog as they are or look at poultry or rabbit for a source of bone chicked wings (these will have a high fat content though) or carcases cut down will be a softer easier option

my spaniel can gring most deer bones himself, never had red but munty and chinese heads dissapear. i think you could be over thinking the problem

What dog have you got and what bones do you intend to grind?

My current dog chomps through fallow rib cages, shoulder blades and will pick the spine and pelvis clean. I don't give him the leg bones anymore as he can now shatter those into long shards. The Vizsla before had everything as she couldn't break the leg bones so just chewed them clean so less risk.

Mincing is easier and cleaner if your dog eats indoors though and I do mince whole chicken carcasses occasionally through a cheap Andrew James kitchen mincer. A bit harder work and messier but I've used a butcher's cleaver or small hand axe to chop up ribs, shoulders, spines quite easily but just time consuming and more mess which is why i pretty much just chop stuff into portion sizes and give them whole outdoors.

Just throw it to the dogs as it is and watch their eyes light up. My GSP must think it’s Christmas after every time he has been out working 😂
