Any recommendations for a reasonably priced saw, handheld or band saw for making osso bucco etc…

Cheap is a fine toothed wood saw 14tpi or so.
Proper job is a 17 1/2” butcher’s bone saw and spare blades from Scobies, or Nisbets, etc.

Sorry I should have specified electrically powered, I have a butchers hand saw. Would like a proper stainless band saw eventually but I can’t spend that much just at the moment.

You’ll spend a lot of time cleaning around a bandsaw for anything other than full professional use, and unless you want to be a venison carpenter or a wood butcher I’d respectfully suggest you stick with a sharp knife and a hand saw.

not tried it bit a cheap mains recipricatingsaw with a metal blade should do it, use the same way as a butchers saw, cut the meat with a knife first
A band saw is lazy butchery and messy, a recip saw is what I use for cutting down the spine if halving a carcass, you can buy stainless food grade blades at a very reasonable price, I was a metal blade fan until a member on here pointed out the food grade stainless.
If only for deer I would stick to hand saw.
